MRTG

1. Install the MRTG package
1. Get the lastest MRTG from http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/pub/
2. Compile and install the MRTG accordingly
2. Create MRTG config file for your host
1. cfgmaker [your_host_community]@your_host > your_host.cfg

2. edit the MRTG config file accordingly
3. Run the MRTG
1. run the mrtg in crontab or in daemon to take data in every 5 minutes

2. put the mrtg web page URL link on your host home page.
4. Use External Monitoring Scripts
Use external monitoring scripts to monitor

• Number of users login at your host
• Number of processes running at your host
in your mrtg graph. Put these grapp URL link on your host home page.
